Abstract
Abstract: The increasing need for applications that make life easier for tourists, the tourism
industry has had a significant impact on the development of information and communication
technology. The aim of this research is to create and distribute an Android-based tourism
application that can meet visitors' expectations for interaction and information in the city of
Parepare, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research methodology using a literature review involves
collecting data through direct observation to design a system. The research results show that
application design can provide comprehensive information about tourist attractions, appropriate
navigation tools, and other data that supports travel. The design of this application can help the
growth of the tourism sector and improve the standard of services provided to tourists.
