Abstract

Tari Pattuddu and Sayyang Pattuddu are dances and cultural stories that reflect the lives of the people of West Sulawesi. However, the enthusiasm of the community to learn, read, and hear stories about this dance is declining; therefore, efforts are needed to preserve it. This research aims to create a 3D animated web application that can introduce and help understand the cultural values contained within it. This research uses qualitative methods, employing web programming languages such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, and Blender. Data collection was conducted through literature studies and interviews with cultural figures. The research was conducted in Polewali Mandar Regency for two months in 2024. The research results show that the 3D animation web application functions according to the specified specifications, with features such as text, folk tale animations, photo and video galleries, and conveys the moral messages contained in the folk tales.
