maintain the quality of agricultural products, and elements of facilities that support distribution activities. Distribution activities have many aspects that must be
considered so that the distribution process does not experience obstacles in order to maintain the quality value of the commodity product until it reaches its destination.
Effective and efficient distribution of rice can provide great benefits to the community. This rice mill buys grain from farmers and then grinds it into rice. Rice is sold to traditional markets and distributors. Rice distributors sell it to traditional markets and supermarkets using truck transportation. The aim of the research is to determine the characteristics of distribution movements, origin, destination and distribution model of truck freight transportation in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This research method uses descriptive quantitative based on data ollection in the field collected from large factories for analysis using the synthetic Gravity Model method. The results of this research show that the characteristics of respondents are predominantly male with 100%, the dominant age of rice distribution operators with 47%, the highest education level of rice distribution operators with a high school education with 58%, the dominant rice distribution vehicle brand with 42, Toyota. 00%, based on the type of truck transporting rice distribution commodities, the most common type of truck is 2as with 57.00%, the highest volume of Commodity Cargo
per departure is 10 - 15 tons with 42.00%. Model analysis using the gravity method, the results of the movement distribution analysis show that the zone with the dominant movement of rice commodities is shown in the zone in Kab. Gowa with a value of 0.17347, Kab. Pangkep is 0.131696 and Parepare City is 0.009857, the zone with the dominant value is Luwu Regency with a value of 0.00620, Makassar City is 0.003515 and Enrekang Regency is 0.002697, the zone is dominated by Soppeng Regency, Pinrang Regency.
