EKSISTENSI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK AKHLAK PESERTA DIDIK DI MTS AL-HIKMAH PAROMBEAN KECAMATAN CURIO KABUPATEN ENREKANG.

This study is to determine the morals of students at MTs Al-Hikmah Parombean and the existence of Islamic Religious Education teacher in fostering students’ morals at MTs Al-Hikmah Parombean Curio District Enrekang Regency. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach and
analyzed qualitatively descriptive. Data sources: observation results and interviews with students and Religious Education teachers of MTs Al-Hikmah Parombean, and documentation results. Research instruments: observation sheets, interview guidelines and documentation from research that has been conducted to a number of respondents. Data collection procedures; observation,
interviews, documentation. Data analysis teachnigues are arried out by means of data reducation data reduction, data Presentation, and conclucion drawing. The results of the Research obtained by researchers with indicators; a)
that the morals of students are good enough. This is evidenced by the attitudes and behaviors displayed by students in the scool environment and shaking hands when meeting both with teachers, elders and with fellow friends and helping and
helping others who need help. b) researchers observed that the presence and exemplary PAI teachers at MTs Al-Hikmah Parombean were good. This is evidenced by various methods carried out by teachers including, habituation, direction, guidance and advice to studenst so that they can be istiqomah with what is done being tabi’at for themselves at school and pay ttention to the rules that apply in madrasas and then implement them in their daily lives. The exsistence of teachers is also shown in the examplary method which plays a role in a positive environment for students both in the family envirotment and in educational
institutions, because the nature of student in general is a good imitator.
