PENGARUH USAHATANI TANAMAN SELADA DENGAN SISTEM HIDROPONIK TERHADAP PENDAPATAN EKONOMI RUMAH TANGGA DI KOTA PAREPARE

Hydroponic technology should be able to fulfill needs and increase household income in urban areas. This research aims to analyze the household income of hydroponic business actors and assess the impact or influence of hydroponic businesses on the income of hydroponic business actors in Parepare City. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method involving all hydroponic business actors. Data collection was carried out through interviews and surveys using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a paired sample T-test to compare income before and after running a hydroponic business. The research results show that there is a significant difference in average income between before and after running a hydroponic business, with a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05). The average income before running a hydroponic business was IDR 3,575,000 and increased to IDR 4,083,333 after running a hydroponic business. The main supporting factors for the success of a hydroponic business include market demand, land availability, and government support. Meanwhile, the main obstacles faced are climate/weather factors and water availability. In this way, the hydroponic business being run makes a positive contribution to increasing household income in Parepare City.
