Abstract

: The problem of electricity access in remote areas and limitations encourages the use of renewable energy, such as solar and wind. Battery recharging requires an automatic charging management system. This study aims to develop an automatic battery charging system using a combination of solar and wind power. The system is designed to detect overvoltage and undervoltage conditions in the battery and control the charging and discharging process automatically.Using an experimental research method with a quantitative approach. The system was tested with charging conditions using solar and wind energy sources. The main components used are Arduino Uno, relay, INA219 sensor, and 20x4 LCD. The research was carried out for six months in the Umpar electrical gineering laboratory area because the sunlight intensity is good for the use of solar panels and the wind speed to rotate the turbine. The development of an automatic battery charging system with solar and wind power produces an overvoltage battery voltage of 14.40 V and an undervoltage of 11.50 V. When the battery is full, the power is transferred to the load, and at low voltage conditions, the battery recharges omatically. The system has not maintained charging ficiency due to limitations in the control circuit, so the current and voltage management are less stable.
