Abstract

Harmalianti Putri, 2025. The author raised the title of the thesis "The Role of Teacher Certification on Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Baraka". The purpose of the research was carried out to find out how the role of teacher certification affects student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Baraka. The preparation of this thesis was guided by Mr. Dr. Muhammad Nur Maallah, S.Ag., M.A. and Makki, S.Ag., M.Ag. The type of research used and the research conducted in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Baraka, using qualitative research methods, used two data sources,namely primary sources and secondary data sources. The methods used for data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and data collection and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that: 1. Data on student learning outcomes increased for 1 year after the PAI teacher was certified, except for 2 (two) students whose learning outcomes did not improve. 2. The role of teacher certification on student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Baraka in improving teacher performance and striving to improve student learning outcomes. According to Mrs Sitti Ramlah, with or without certification, if educators are indeed strong enough to carry out their mandate as transmitters of knowledge to students, teacher certification should not be an influence in demonstrating competence in educating.
