Abstract
Heriani, 2025. The author raised thr title of the thesis “Problems of Implementing the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare”.As for supervisor I Mrs. Dr. Andi Fitriani Djollong,M.Pd and supervisor II Mr. Dr. Amir Patintingan,S.Pd.,M.Pd. This thesis aims to the termine implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic religious education subject at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare and to determine the problems of implementing the independent curriculum in Islamic religious education subjects at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare.
The type of research used is field research conducted at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare, using a qualitative research approach.There are two data sources used, namely primary data sources including headmaster,Islamic religious education teachers and class V.B students and secondary data sources including documentation results and various literature and articles related to the research.The research instruments used were the researcher him self, interview guide,questionnarire, writing instruments and recording devices/cellphone using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and
documentation.There are 6 in data analysis techniques, namely data requirement gathering, data collecting, data cleaning, data analysis, data interpretation and data visualization.The results of the study indicate that: 1) The independent curriculum has been implemented for approximately two years and is still not optimal through student centered learning, development of Pancasila student projects and profiding flexibility in choosing teaching materials. 2) The problems found include the difficulity of changing mindsets or teachers are still accustomed to the 2013 curriculum learning model, the implementation ofdiferentiated learning is not optimal because the characteristics of students are different so that teachers need to prepare differentlearning devices, this will increace the workload of Islamic religious education teachers who teach many classes.
