Abstract

Elsa Sapitri, 2024. The author raised the thesis title "The Role of Non-formal Islamic Education Institutions in the Development of Islamic Morals of the Young Generation in Baraka Village, Baraka District, Enrekang District". The aim of the research was to determine the role of non-formal Islamic education institutions (halaqah tarbiyah) in developing Islamic morals for the younger generation and to determine the advantages and disadvantages of non-formal Islamic education institutions (halaqah tarbiyah) in the Baraka sub-district. The preparation of this thesis was supervised by Mrs. Salmiati, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I. and Mr. Dr. Ikhwan Sawaty., M.Pd.I. The type of research used and the research conducted in halaqah tarbiyah, using qualitative research methods, two data sources are used, namely primary sources, namely direct data sources (Ustadzah and Remaja), secondary data sources which include textual results and 'various books in the form of books'. journals, research articles, Research materials used are the researcher himself, observation guides, interview guides and documentation instructions, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The methods used for data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and data collection and conclusion drawn. The results of this research show that: 1. The role of non-formal Islamic education institutions, in this case halaqoh tarbiyah, is one of their roles, namely as a coach for better morals in teenagers. As a coach, there are several things that are coached, namely morals and mastery of reading the Koran. The methods used are the invitation method, psychological methods and providing examples. 2. Disadvantages and advantages of halaqoh tarbiyah based on observations and interviews with Ustadzah Syarafiah show that the disadvantages of nonformal education guidance (halaqoh tarbiyah) are limited time and the
advantages are that the younger generation gets new insights about teachings that are in accordance with Islamic law.
