Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perfoma ayam broiler dengan sistem kandang terbuka (open house) dan sistem kandang tertutup (closed house) dengan menggunakan metode pengamatan secara langsung (observasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konversi Pakan/FCR untuk kandang tertutup lebih besar dari pada kandang terbuka. Kandang tertutup (closed house) FCR nya 1,470%, Kandang terbuka FCR nya 1,459%. Mortalitas/kematian yang tertinggi ada pada kandang terbuka (open house) sebanyak 230 ekor atau 7,67% dari populasi awal sebanyak 3.000 ekor, sementara untuk kandang tertutup adalah sebanyak 80 ekor atau 1,6% dari populasi awal sebanyak 5.000 ekor. Untuk IP Kandang Open House 319% dan untuk IP Kandang Closed House adalah 387%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini bahwa sistem kandang tertutup (closed house) lebih baik daripada sistem kandang terbuka (open house). Kita kunci : FCR, Mortalitas, IP, Broiler , Closed House, dan Open House.This research aims to determine the difference in performance of broiler chickens with an open house system and a closed house system using the direct observation method (observation). The research results showed that the feed conversion/FCR for closed cages was greater than for open cages. Closed house FCR is 1.470%, open house FCR is 1.459%. The highest mortality/death was in the open house with 230 birds or 7.67% of the initial population of 3,000, while for closed cages it was 80 birds or 1.6% of the initial population of 5,000. For the Open House IP, it is 319% and for the Closed House IP, it is 387%.
