Abstract
Nur Khaerani, 2025. The author raised the title of the thesis "Analysis of the Impact of Giving Rewards and Punishments on the Quality of Islamic Religious Education Learning at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare" (Supervisor I Dr. Salmiati, S.Pd. I., M. Pd. I. and (Supervisor II Zainuddin, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I) This thesis aims to determine the description of the provision of rewards and punishments in Islamic Religious Education learning. As well as to determine the impact of giving rewards and punishments on the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare. The type of research used is field research, conducted at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare, using a qualitative research approach. There are 2 sources of data used, namely primary data sources including students, principals and Islamic Religious Education educators and secondary data sources, namely documentation results, various literature in the form of books, journals, articles related to the research. The research instrument used is the researcher himself, data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study showed that: 1) The provision of rewards at UPTD SD Negeri 20 Parepare went through several stages, namely planning, providing materials, questions and answers, and giving prizes for those who successfully answered. Punishment was given through an approach, understanding the reasons for mistakes, advice, warnings, and punishments if mistakes were repeated. 2) The provision of rewards had an impact on the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning, with the existence of rewards students became more enthusiastic, motivated, active in learning , and student character was formed. Punishment had an impact on the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning, with the existence of punishment it could foster an attitude of discipline and responsibility, as well as awareness of mistakesKeywords: Rewards, Punishment, Islamic education
