Abstract

Nur Amalina Abdul Rahman, 2025. Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan and Arabic Language (ISMUBA) Teachers' Strategy for Behavioral ChangeApproach in Classroom Management at SMK Muhammadiyah Parepare.(Supervisor I Dr. Andi Abd Muis, M.Pd.I., and Supervisor II Dr. Salmiati,M.Pd.I.). This thesis aims to analyze the strategies of Al-IslamKemuhammadiyahan and Arabic Language (ISMUBA) teachers in managingclasses through a behavioral change approach at SMK Muhammadiyah Parepare.This study also aims to determine the effectiveness of the strategy in creating aclassroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning.This study uses a qualitative descriptive method conducted at SMKMuhammadiyah Parepare. The data used in this study consists of two types,namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources include ISMUBAteachers, Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, and students.Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained from various relevant literature, such asbooks, articles, and journals. The research instruments used include observationsheets, interview guidelines, and documentation guidelines. The data collectiontechniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation.The data obtained are then analyzed through the process of data reduction, datapresentation, and drawing conclusions.The results of the study indicate that ISMUBA teacher strategies that aredesigned systematically and flexibly are able to support changes in studentbehavior towards a more positive direction. Behavior change approaches, such asgiving praise, awards, and educational consequences, are effective in creating aconducive learning environment. The effectiveness of ISMUBA teacherstrategies in the behavior change approach depends on the role of teachers as rolemodels, motivators, and facilitators in forming positive student habits.Collaboration between school stakeholders and parents of students has animportant role to support the successful implementation of the behavior changeapproach in sustainable classroom management.
