STRATEGI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER SOPAN SANTUN PADA PESERTA DIDIK ERA DIGITAL DI UPT SMAN 2 PAREPARE

This study aims to: determine the character of politeness possessed bystudents at UPT SMAN 2 Parepare, The type of research used is field researchwith a qualitative approach. data collection, namely observation, interviews, anddocumentation. The primary data sources in this study were students and IslamicReligious Education teachers at UPT SMAN 2 Parepare, while secondary datasources include documentation and literature related to the research topic.The results of the study indicate that although students understand theconcept of politeness, its application in the digital world is still inconsistent.Interactions on social media, which are often freer and less supervised, are achallenge in maintaining polite attitudes. Islamic Religious Education teachershave a key role in shaping polite character through role models, teaching basedon Islamic values, and discussion methods that build ethical awareness. However,external influences from peers, social media, and lack of support from the familyenvironment worsen the consistency of the application of polite values in everyday
life.
