Abstract

Nur Handayani, 2025. The author raised the title of the thesis "The Effectiveness of Using Audio Visual Media on Islamic Religious Education Learning Outcomes at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Parepare". (Supervisor 1: Dr. Muhammad Nur Maallah S.Ag. MA, Supervisor II: Dr. Muhammad Naim M.Pd.I). This thesis aims to analyze the effectiveness of using audio visual media on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Parepare. Audio visual media was chosen to improve students' understanding of abstract concepts and motivate them in learning, because it can combine audio and visual elements. The type of research used is field research conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Parepare, using a qualitative research approach. There are two data sources used, namely primary data sources including students and Islamic Religious Education educators and secondary data sources including documentation resultsand various literature in the form of books, journals, articles related to theresearch. The research instruments used are the researchers themselves,observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation guidelines using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation.Data analysis techniques through 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data collection and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained that: 1) The application of audio-visual media in Islamic Religious Education learning at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Parepare is to create an interesting, conducive, and effective learning atmosphere in improving students' understanding of Islamic values. 2) The effectiveness of the use of audio-visual media on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Parepare can be seen from the significant increase in student learning outcomes and positive changes in attitudes in cognitive, affective and
psychomotor aspects.
