Abstract
Nur Ainun Syafillah Safah (221360008), conducted research on Legal Protection for the Sustainability of Traditional Markets Againts the Presence of Modern Retail in
Parepare City, (supervised by Asram A.T Jadda, S.Hi, M.Hum dan Wahyu Rasyid, S.H., M.H ) This study aims to analyze the legal protections available for traditional markets
amid modern retail growth and the factors driving this development in Parepare, utilizing qualitative descriptive analysis. Findings indicate that: (1) legal protections
fortraditional markets are established under Parepare City Regulation No. 10 of 2017, which includes various government efforts to safeguard these markets. Additionally,
(2) Factors contributing to modern retails growth include population size, complexcommunity needs, and regional economic drivers, impacting the revenue of small
traders in traditional markets
